I have recently become acquainted with Bennie Jefferies, another of my “B-17” friends. I feel honored when I talk to veterans, like Bennie. He contacted me when he read a book review in the “8th Air Force News” magazine. Obvious to him that I have the interest, he took the time to tell me a little about his experience. I’m adding him to “My Heroes” with his permission. I’ve only talked to him on the telephone a couple of times and I’d like to share the information that I’ve learned about his role in WWII. He will be added soon.
