I haven’t yet mentioned the interview that I gave at the Salamanca High School to Morgan Lefford. I believe it was in the beginning of November. She was to write a paper for her Journalism class. It was a good feeling to talk to a young lady like her about such an important subject. It’s so important for the young people today to understand the sacrifices that have been made for us so that we can enjoy the freedoms that we do today. It is encouraging to have a young person, like Morgan, seem sincerely interested and understanding of my mission to keep the memory alive of those who have fought for us in WWII. I hope that the interest is contagious among the students and that they always understand the value of their freedom and the high price paid for it.
